Hi - I have not found one, but I am looking for a plugin that will allow a user to put a text link in one of the custom fields.

Does anyone know of such a plugin? If not, does anyone know how to write such a plugin, or can you advise on this?

If you put in the link with http:// it will automatic be a link...

one of my fields is:
Original/Stock Image URL (with thhp://)

works perfect

PirateZipp is correct. Need an example? Take a look at http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/displayimage.php?pos=-461 - the field "Reference" just contains just a link.
