Hi

I have both VMW and MOV video-files in Coppermine.
They show up (after I read about how to get it to show here in this forum). But then i had the problem with 16:9 format.
Most of the videos are in 16:9 - but showed up in normal 4:3 format. So I read that I could write the dimension I needed inside Coppermine. I did that and everything looked nice in IE, but then I tried in Firefox - and its stretched so much it looks like 16:4 or something. How can i get video files look the same in both IE and Firefox?

Post a deep link to a page within your gallery that contains a video for a start.

Koxer

Weird - I don´t know what happende but suddenly it works fine in both Firefox and IE....
And sorry for not providing a link from the start....you may try too - here is a deep link....

You probably have been looking at a cached version. When changing such settings, make sure to force-refresh your browser ([Ctrl]+[F5]). Marking as "solved".

Hi

Just thought I had solved the problem, but it still doesn´t work.
Look at my earlier post: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=46641.0

Try to look at this viedo in both IE 7 and Firefox (I use 2.0.0.6).
http://www.okologi.dk/cpg1410/displayimage.php?album=topn&cat=14&pos=2

In IE it looks great - (I have been setting it up for 560X315px inside Coppermine).
But in Firefox it looks very Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide....like 1600x30 or something....

Any clues?

Merged separate thread with the one you refered to and un-marking it. Please don't clutter the board.
Actual deep, permanent link is http://www.okologi.dk/cpg1410/displayimage.php?pos=-11
Did you modify any coppermine files except adding your custom theme? If yes: post your changes.

Koxer

Hey GauGau

Sorry about the cluttering.....But I thought that after you had marked the fiorst post as Solved I could not start all over again....Sorry.

Anyway - as I remember it (it was mostly bvefoer summerhollidays so it is a bit dim what I did at all) - I have not done anything to the coppermine files except changed the Theme. I did install the upgrade (Maintenance release cpg1.4.12 (security issue) - upgrade mandatory)
though a week ago or so. And it did overwriet some files I guess. I did not overwrite the files that was mentioned in the install notes.

How does the video show up in IE and Firefox for you? Is it looking bad in Firefox?

Works in IE with the video expanded to the boundaries of the embedded player. In FF, the video appears much smaller than the player, with black bars around it. Could you post a screenshot (attach it to your posting using "additional options" when composing your message) of the editpic screen of that particular page, so we can see the dimensions you assigned?

Koxer

Hi

OK - here is how it looks in my FF (Oko.jpg) and a screendump of the editpic page.
Hope this can give you clue about what is going on?

Best regards
Morten

Hey

Any one having a clue what to do to get rid of this problem?

Looks fine in my FF. May be related to your media plugin.
