For some reason when I trie to go to the cateogies page, I get a blank screen, and I don't know why... Can someone help?

Ok so I tried to upgrade from 1.4.8 - 1.4. 13 and now it tells me that the files are wrong... I get that they aren't updated...

Hi, I am still having issues... I just uploaded the whole upgraded package.. and now I get a page that says this..

Then you have overwritten/deleted the install.lock file.

Just recreate the install.lock. An empty file will do fine.
