Error 500 - Internal server error

I'm trying to batch upload pics but i get the following error on when I batch add files to my gallery. 

Error 500 - Internal server error
An internal server error has occured!
Please try again later.

Some pics we're uploaded "OK" but most of them I get the above error when I click on "click for details or reload". I did re-check the pics just to ensure it's on the server, which they are so not sure what seems the problem.

now, I did changed the permission rights on albums & include folders to 775 and it seems still doesn't work.

I'm using 1and1 hosting with copermine version 1.4.13

What happens if you reload the entire page? Does http upload work as expected? Do exactly as suggested in the docs (upload troubleshooting).
