At http://www.ff.fm/fotoalbum/index.php I can sort the thumbnails as user / admin, at http://www.ff.fm/fotoalbum/ and http://www.xarno.nl/ I can't.

Is this a setting I forgot?

Disable the SEF_URLs plugin if it causes issues for you.
