I have a problem with my coppermine gallery. I just made fresh install and bridged it to joomla. The versions involved here are:

Server:
MySQL ver 5.0.45
Uses UTF-8

Joomla version 1.0.15
Uses iso-8859-1 (Uses 8859 because moved site from provider who did run mySQL 4.xx)

Coppermine version 1.4.16 (stable)
Uses UTF-8
Language Finnish

Everything works fine until user who's name has ä on it added a gallery. Now coppermine messed his user name and you cant get access to his gallery by clicking his name. Dont know how to fix this, so hoping someone could offer me some help.

The links to site is:

Front page within joomla:  http://ispk.hullukala.com/
Direct link to gallery: http://ispk.hullukala.com/galleria/index.php
Direct link to user galleries: http://ispk.hullukala.com/galleria/index.php?cat=1   (Joel Penttilä is the user with scandinavian letters on his name)
When trying to access his gallery, you end up into empty page:

The Coppermine-Joomla bridge is a user contribution and goes unsupported. We don't know Joomla.

Well let me refrase then:

How I can change coppermine to iso-8859-1. When I do the change at coppermine configuration, this user gallery works fine, but rest coppermine scandinavian characters are messed.

I was able to get it right by changing finnish.php to iso-8859-1, used the Uni2ME converter to make the conversion. Works fine now...
