Critcal Error: cannot upload anything

Every time I, or any user, tries to upload anything, we get this error:

Critical error
The picture 'albums/userpics/new hair.jpg' can't be inserted in the album

Unable to create thumbnail or reduced size image.

I have GD 2.0 set in the options, but I have no idea what any of that means.

You'll have to find out what type of gd your server actually runs (refer to the faq how to do that). Set the gd version your server runs in coppermine config as well.
