All,

I realize this will be fixed in the new version of CMG but I need something to stem the tide until then.  Every day I am getting about 20 - 40 registration confirmation emails from my site from random bots.  I want all my activation requests to come to me in email of course, but I need a way to stop the ability of these bots from completing a registration.  It is my understanding that the new version will have a Capcha image box that will prevent (at least the lesser of the bots) from registering on the site.

Can anyone provide some help in the mean time?

I guess it would also be helpful if i said I was on version 1.4.14

Then apply the captcha mod to the registration process if this bothers you so much.

I wasn't aware there was a capcha mod for 1.4.

The only capcha addon that i see is for comments, my issue is not with comments, but with registrations.

Thank you very much, both of you.  I have one final question and then i will stop being a noob.

I have installed the plugin and enabled it.  I now have the "Confirm" box on the registration page, but i have no picture box to confirm with.  So now I can't login at all.  Can you point me in the right direction of how to fix this.  At this point it seems obvious that I am going to have to go to the code.

Never mind ... stupid question on my part.  Didn't see the readme file in the zip.  Fixed now.

Thank again very much.
