Greetings,

My webhost, GoDaddy, sent an email a couple of weeks ago, informing me that I could install Coppermine.  Great, I thought, so I had it installed by GoDaddy.

Today, I've been reading the FAQs and documentation, so that I could get rolling.  When I try to login to my Coppermine account, I'm sorry to write that I can't recall my username or password - I keep getting an error message that that username doesn't exist.  I can see the Coppermine files when I go to my hosting account via GoDaddy or my FTP software, but I can't figure out where the username and password are hidden so that I can change/reset them.  Help?

Or, do I need to reinstall Coppermine??

Thanks,

Tim!

The only install method we support is the one we explain in our docs. Auto-installs like the one performed on GoDaddy are not recommended nor supported.

Username and password are not being stored in a file, but in the database. If you have access to your database, you can retrieve your password there (using phpMyAdmin) or similar. How exactly this is being done is described in many threads similar to your, so please search the board if you want go go that road. Better though would be to uninstall the GoDaddy gallery and set up your own, using the method we describe.

GauGau,

FYI, if you get this...  After you told me to try the MyPHPAdmin function, I was then able to figure it all out...

Thanks,

Tim!
