gallery from local drive to my domain

i installed coppermine on my local drive along with my wordpress. (i wanted to make sure both are working fine with the matching themes before i go live.) anyway, i started "loading" all the pictures in the gallery (still on the local, i deleted what was on my domain, it's now empty). i am planning to migrate everything from my local drive to my domain. i think both uses the same database...

will it be a simple FTPing the entire directory? 
i am so afraid to start, i might ruin everything ('coz it's working perfectly on my local).
