Hi there.
Have upgraded to the latest version.
We have Albums that are private.
How do I implement a rating system for them? I note that I can do it if visitors look at the albums however that will never happen.
Thanks for your help in advance.

So you're asking for a system that let's users rate pics that they're not able to see in the first place? Should they guess how the pics look? And how is this related to upgrading? Did such a mysterious "guessing rating system" exist in previous versions of coppermine?

I must not have explained myself very well. Apologies.

We have a strict system in which albums have about 20 members belong to a Group. Only those 20 members can upload images to the album and critique each others images. Each Group has been set the permission of Yes to Rating.

However, when viewing the image there is room for comment only and no ability to rate the image. I don't even know what it looks like to rate the image?

Aside from that, since upgrading, there are now instances where members have uploaded an image and entered in their description of it. Then, all that shows is the link and no image. In order to check if the image is still on the server (and not mysteriously disappeared) I have gone into albums and confronted with a long list of folders that are numbered. Is there a way to find out which folder belongs to which user? Alternatively, is this is a known glitch and is there a patch I can download?

Thanks again, your help would be really appreciated.

The membergroup has rating allowed (on the groups control panel) - fine. Set "Visitors can rate files" to "yes" on the album properties screen.

We have a strict "one question per thread" policy that you agreed to respect when signing up.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Start a new thread for your issues, along with a link to your gallery and maybe some deep links and screenshots (attach them using "additional options" when composing your message) that illustrate your issue. Just as a clarification: http uploads always go into the folder albums/userpics/XXXXXX, where XXXXXX is a number that is being calculated 10000 plus user id. There is no correlation on file level between the physical folder the uploaded file went to and the logical album it was added to. The correlation is being stored in the database. However, this has been the case for all coppermine versions ever, so this can not be an issue related to upgrading.

Thank you for your response, I shall post the rest of my question elsewhere.
