Deleting stats

I made a big mistake
i allowed hit_stats table to grow by having enable detailed statistics in the config area
now i notice that that db is huge
and i think that maybe the reason it slowed me down badly

how can i empty these tables ?

Empty the stats table using phpmyadmin.

ok did it thanks a lot stupid question was thinking it had a built in option for clearing stats
