Category description issues

I have been trying to add description to an existing category:
[Edit GauGau] Replaced hotlinked image with attachment cport_1.jpg [/Edit]

so it would look like the one with description I added when creating the gallery:
[Edit GauGau] Replaced hotlinked image with attachment cuk_2.jpg [/Edit]

The problem is that I can't find a way to do that. I tried to use categories control panel but when I select UK album there is nothing in the description field. When I select Portugal and type something in the description, instead of updating existing category this new category is created:
[Edit GauGau] Replaced hotlinked image with attachment cport_3.jpg [/Edit]

Also, it is quite clear that the description in this new category is very different type that the old on in the UK category.

Am I experiencing some kind of a bug?

Where is the "UK" gallery?

On the top there is Portugal with 8 albums.
Underneath there is United Kingdom (UK) with 16.
