Integrate album thumbnail views into SMF subcategory boards

I have installed SMF 1.1.4 and CPG 1.4.16 to the same database & bridged successfully.

I have a category 'Site galleries' which contains 7 albums Tech, Wildlife, History, etc.

What I want to do is show the album thumbnail view for an album, inside a board in SMF.

I'm familiar with the php innards of SMF, but totally new to CPG so I'm not sure where to start looking in the code - any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Here is an image illustrating the 'chunk' of Coppermine I would like to 'drag' into SMF:
