Hi Everyone. and thanks for Coppermine and the wonderful support you guys give.
I've been trying to add a button to the description of a picture in the gallery. The idea is that the user can click the button to learn more about the picture. The button would be hyper linked to a php page that contains the header and footer of Coppermine but and html content (minus the headers). I have already designed the php page and it integrates well with the gallery but the button has got me. I tried bbcode but without any success. The code displayed the jpg but not hyperlinked. I've pasted  the link below..... can anyone guide me on this please.

Regards,
Steff
PS I've used the my forum url as an example only

Damb it it works on this forum... sorry I'll post the bbcode below without the http or www for you so's that you can see what I've typed.

[url=http://picturepenzance.co.uk/myforum/index.php] [img]http://picturepenzance.co.uk/images/button1.jpg[/img][/url]

Your code got mangled, but the above works for me.

Oh, don't put a space in your URL.

Halfhidden

Hi Nibbler,
Yes it did rather didn't it. I have entered the correct bbcode in the gallery description and expected the button to work as it has in this forum (above) do you know if there is any reason why when I use the same code in Coppermine I get the url part of the bbcode printed to screen and the jpg is called. Basically you can see the bbcode calling the url.

Regards,
Steff

Nibbler

Yes, you have a space in your URL.

Halfhidden

Sorry I should have said. I only have a space in the above example. here is a screen shot of what I get in the gallery. (https://coppermine-gallery.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.picturepenzance.co.uk%2Fimages%2Fexample.jpg&hash=b3774a91fa08f1cc622deb6ef4e51978714572f9)
Any ideas?

Lets face it ... I'm having a bad night.... and I'm all fingers and thumbs

Nibbler

The screenshot shows you trying to use [link], this is not supported.

Halfhidden

Ok... I'm the dumb one here. I can see now what you tried to tell me but I didn't listen. Your were right I had a space between [/img][/link] on the original link and therefore the url was printed. I then panicked and tried the link command and you rightfully said that this isn't supported. You'll be glad to hear that I have taken your advise, removed the space and the images is successfully hyper linked and working like a charm.
Thanks Nibbler.... I'll try my best to listen next time.
Regards,
Steff
