Hey everyone,

Im a new coppermine user and I love the script so far. Im having one small issue though.

When I try to batch add files everything works right but there is one small problem I cant seem to find a solution to. When I add galleries that need to be in a specific order, therefore I name them 1.jpg, 2.jpg etc the order gets messed up when doing a batch add. I notice that the order of them being added goes in the order of the OK images loading and not the order that is displayed once I submit the request. For example, when adding 50 files at once the script organizes the images 1,2,3,4,5,6..etc. but adds them in random orders and what it comes down to is what loads first.

This means I have to go back and sort files in the right order, sometimes taking hours with large galleries and a small screen to work with. Is there any fix for this? Where they are added in the order they are displayed as and not whichever comes first?

If you already named them in order then just set the default sort order to 'name' in config.

Sorry forgot to mention that I tried that. The problem with that option is that it works up to 9 and then runs into problems. When I do that this is how it sorts the files:

1
10
11
...
2
20
3
4
5
6
7
8
9
etc.

Use a better naming scheme then; 001.jpg, ...

Ah okay that would work, another question though. I have about 1500 files already uploaded  :-\ is there anyway to easily change the file names to 001 etc on both FTP and coppermine? I doubt the script will be able to notice if I change it in FTP alone right?

Nibbler

You'd probably need to write a script to do that.
