Hi all,

i searched the Forum for some hours to find a hint how i could solve my problem. Probably i only was unlucky in finding the solution, but i couldn't find it.

Let me describe what i would like to do. I have some albums which are currently onyl viewable by registered users, since some pictures are private and i won't let them be visible for all users. On the other hand, if no pictures are visible for guest, no one would visit the photo album. my idea is to have all albums accessible for everyone and only some pictures are visible for registered users only.

What i would like to have is something like:

- public albums with some restricted images inside the album

Ok, there is a way i could solve it by today. I could generate two albums, one for public and one for registered users. some of the images would be visible in both albums, the restircted ones only by registered users.

i'm not sure if that's the way to implement it and i would like to know if someone has done something similar or if there is a way to restrict only single images in a public album.

thanks for any feedback and for any hints how to solve such a problem the easiest way.

There is a workaround though: used the album keyword feature. Make the images linked by keyword (they come from another album) available for particular users only. As suggested: this is a workaround. Read up the docs for details on the album keyword feature.

hi, read it but i made the links with keyword the wrong way arround.

heres how you have to do this:

- upload the pictures you wnat to have public to the public album
- give them all a keyword
- upload the pictures you want to have restricted access on the the restricted album
- give the same keyword to the restricted album as you did for the public one

if you would do it the other way arround (kind of importing the pictures to the public album from the restricted one) it wont work and thats (murphys law) like i did it the first time  :P

now everything is ok. thanks
