In the version 1418 there is a problem with a description.
The name is Malomkôzi, there are two pictures with that name.
Cannot see the normal or larg image, only the thumbs.
Dont know how or where to remove or change the descripton because I cannot not enter it.
This is what it shows as description now: Sjelsa Malomk?/span>

Any tips?

Joachim Müller

Post a link for a start, we're not mind readers.

Donna2

http://nvdsk.nl/coppermine/thumbnails.php?album=33&page=3
Then look for the image Shelsa.

HTML and some signs like "  ^ sometimes gives a trouble.

Well anyway, how too chance the description.

Thanks

Joachim Müller

Fix your URL in coppermine's config, it should be http://nvdsk.nl/coppermine/ (Config -> General settings -> URL of your coppermine gallery folder).
The only image with the term "Shelsa" in it (http://nvdsk.nl/coppermine/displayimage.php?pos=-373) works as expected. Post a deep link to the stuff you're having issues with.

Donna2

http://nvdsk.nl/coppermine/displayimage.php?album=33&pos=30

This is the one.(there is another withe the same problem).

What do you mean with fix the URL, I dont`understand.
Or is it without index.php?

I hope you can help me, thanks in advance.

Are you refering to http://nvdsk.nl/coppermine/displayimage.php?pos=-593 ? Don't post relative links, but absolute ones! I can't see any issues with http://nvdsk.nl/coppermine/displayimage.php?pos=-593

Do exactly what I said: go to coppermine's config and enter
Quotehttp://nvdsk.nl/coppermine/
into the field labelled "URL of your coppermine gallery folder". I'm not ready to repeat things, read carefully what supporters say.

Joachim Müller

*sigh*
I haven't asked for a link to a thumbnail, but a deep, absolute link to the page that embedds the image that you're having issues with.

[Edit GauGau] Replaced hotlinked image with attachment [/Edit]

Sorry but I dont know what you mean by a deap link, language problem :-[

Hope you can see what I mean on the image.

In case this does not work. Can you tell me where I can find the pages with the description to change it?
Cannot find it in FTP.

Donna2

http://nvdsk.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10001/shelsa~0.jpg

This is the deep link? :-\

Anyway, that`s the image that cannot be opened bij clicking on the thumb (see image att.)

Overwriting the image with FTP does not help, it must be something in the description name.

Hein Traag

http://nvdsk.nl/coppermine/thumbnails.php?album=33&page=2 First row of thumbnails and then the last in the row. Change the name Malomkôzi to Malomkozi.

Donna2

 :D

Cant change the name because I cant enter the page.
That`s the problem.

Hein Traag

I can take a look if you are willing to pm the nescesary login info + rights.

Joachim Müller

Can not replicate: I tried using the word "Malomkôzi" as title/caption on my testbed - works as expected.

Donna2

Oke, thanks for your time.

It happened during upgrading from 1.3 to 1418.

Maybe I will make that album all over. :'(

You should have said so earlier. Moving to the upgrading sub-board.

For me, the ô character looks "funny" on your gallery. It appears that you have failed to convert your iso8859-1 encoded textual database content to utf-8, yet you're using utf-8. Please confirm that this is the case, i.e. that you used to have the encoding set to iso8859-1 in cpg1.3.x

Donna2

Sorry, dont have a little bit off an idea what you mean.
I upgraded following the instructions.
Made a back up off the datebase, wondering why...............

Should I import my back up off the old database?

Donna2

At the moment I`m making a new album.
Only 70 titles to copy and paste.

Thanks all.

Bye!

Joachim Müller

Pre-mature step - you should have done what I said. Anyway, marking thread as solved then...

Donna2

Very premature!
Found the solution. ;D

It`s not working in IE 6.
Went to Firefox, could easy change the title.
Same might work so with IE 7.

Just in case there are more users having the same problem.
