link to other location under albums

hello,
I have installed and running the coppermine software,
I made several catogaries now I wan't to made on one of them a second album,
so you can see a thumbnail and some info on the main page. But this must not link to the album but to
a different location.

is this possible and so yes how??

no, but you can add links in the category description by using bbcode (similar to the bbcode on this board). Refer to the documentation that comes with coppermine for details.
