PB error confusion

Ok, I know I'm going to get an eyeful about how I should have searched the forum and troubleshooting faq's and what not, however, I've done that, and everything seems to be in order but I'm still getting a PB error when trying to batch add, and I can't figure it out. I have way too many files to upload separately, and I don't use windoze so I can't use the XP upload tool.

I have coppermine installed to http://www.smiths-grove.com/gallery

My albums folder is /gallery/albums and is writable (777) as well as the folder I'm trying to batch add from (/gallery/albums/masks_products_h20). When I batch add from that folder to an existing album, I get the dreaded PB error and nothing is added.

My file size limitations are set high so that there should be no problems with that. KB max size is 13024, and max width or height is 3072. Intermediate to create is set at max 800. Using GD2 since I'm not sure if imagemagick is installed on my server.

Can't think of anything else I'm may be forgetting to include, but I have set up a test user (user "test," password "test") if anyone wants to take a look, and debugging is turned on as well for all users.

Ok, did that with all groups, still same result.

That's not a suggested fix, it's a debug step. Have you modified include/picmgmt.inc.php? If so upload a clean copy.

Nothing has been modified. I installed coppermine, copied over my albums folder from menalto gallery, deleting all the extraneous files (*.dat, thumbs, etc.), and setting the correct permissions on those folders. Configured everything, including creating my categories and albums, then tried the batch upload, and I get the PB error. I can upload fine from Koppermine, and via the upload interface, but batch add is the one I really need, what with well over 1000 images to add!!
