I have tried to follow the documentation's section on creating new themes. I was basing this theme on the existing igames theme. I created a copy of that folder and renamed it newtheme1. Then I set the config to display newtheme1 as its theme. I went into the newtheme1 folder and tried to edit two of the images: top_panel_r1_c1.jpg and top_panel_r1_c2.jpg. I saved these images on my computer and edited them in photoshop. Then I uploaded them to the same folder (newtheme1/images) and replaced the existing ones. However, now I get a page cannot display message whenever I try to load any page in my website. I had originally backed up all the files, so I replaced the edited files with the backups. However, I still get the same page cannot display message. I don't understand this at all. I have not worked with coppermine photogalleries before, but I have used the same technique of photoshopping an existing image in a theme in phpBB2 message boards. I never had a problem with any of it like I am having now. I realize they are not the same thing of course, but I didn't realize editing an existing image so that it has the same dimensions and same filename as the original would screw up the entire website and that replacing the edited file with the original files would not fix things. I have no idea how to fix this now because my entire website only says page cannot display. The only changes I can make now are in the file manager. However, I have already replaced everything with the backups, so I don't know what else to do.

my website: http://acaringvoice.com/coppermine/index.php
It is a free account at http://freehostia.com

I apologize for my stupidity and ask for any help.

Thanks.

Your website is working as expected - it is using the unmodified igames style. When trying to access your site using the new theme by going to http://acaringvoice.com/coppermine/index.php?theme=newtheme1 I still see the usual igames layout, so you haven't uploaded the theme using that custom name.
Off-topic: it's absolutely mandatory to upgrade: you're using cpg1.4.16, while the most recent stable release is cpg1.4.18. All versions before cpg1.4.18 have known security flaws that are actively being exploited. Upgrade before doing anything else.

Thanks.

That's wierd how it wasn't working last night. But I'm glad it's working now.

Okay, I'll look into upgrading.

Thanks.
