searchnew.php Comes up Dead

It has been probably a year since I uploaded any pictures to Coppermine.  Today I tried to use Batch Add and the screen comes up blank without any messages whatsoever.  I see the word 'Done' on the browser status bar.  Uploading pictures one at a time works fine.  All other features of the program works well.  Any help is appreciated.
