Hello,

I have a copy of Coppermine running, but I would like to customize the pages.  For example on the first page I would like to add some text describing what the site is about.  I would also like to add more page/links to the menu.  I do know about the header and footer, but I would like more flexibility.

I have looked through the code, but it isn't really clear where I could add such content.  Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

miniCMS is your answer, here's an example of mine with it running:

MiniCMS will not add menu items though. Please keep in mind the "one issue per thread policy".

can you not create an item in the miniCMS and then link to it in your menu? I know it's not automatic and requires digging through code, but it seems like it would be pretty simple

Why not link your gallery with Wordpress. There are plenty of cool things you can do with it besides blogging and there are several themes available on the theme board that match a Wordpress theme. Use cpmFetch and you can create almost anything.
Did you read the manual first???? Taking 2 minutes to backup your files can save you hours of wondering what you screwed up.

Wow!  I am really impressed with the Coppermine community.  I post a message and people really respond.  And their answers are correct.  In most forums no one ever answers.  Thanks.

ib2loud, your site looks cool. I am going to research miniCMS, cpmFetch and WordPress.

Thanks
Mike
