how to remove extra spaces at top of main page

i did not fill in the gallery name and description fields... and am looking to delete the extra spaces that are left at the top above the navigation bar... can someone tell me how to do this..?

edit themes/yourtheme/template.html and remove the stuff you don't need:

{GAL_NAME}

and

{GAL_DESCRIPTION}
