I wanted to modify search.php to eliminate some of the search options.  I made the modifications - kept the integrity of the table - and loaded the new file.  Then I received the error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/cfarris/public_html/2008a/search.php on line 1

That shows up in the browser window.  I re-loaded the original search.php -- and I still have the same error.  ?

Any ideas how I clear that?

Sigh.  I'm 95% of the way there, but this last 5% is going to kill me!

Looks like whatever you used to upload messed up the file. Use a proper FTP client.

It is ws-ftp - which has worked for me for 14 years.  However, I will download something else and re- ftp
