Using SSL for Login

I wondered if it possible to change the login page so it uses SSL instead of the standard http.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Change the link to the login page to point to the https:// address.

What file do i need to edit to do this.

Also i have the gallery set up so you have to sign in to view anything as i use this for family photos etc that only family have passwords for.
So if you go to http://mydomain.com/gallery for example it will redirect you to the login page.

Either go through the code or setup a redirect in your webserver.
