Cannot save settings

I have a very strange problem that I cannot resolve. I haven't used my coppermine for a while and the last time I used it, it worked like a charm. But now for some reason I cannot upload files. But that is not the only problem. When I try to change permissions and other parameters in "groups" as admin, the changes do not take effect. They are not even saved. So If I click the "yes" box, hit save and then refresh or whatever, it is not changed. The old setting is still there. So I try phpmyadmin and amazingly the same thing happens there. It is changed back to the old setting for some reason. The settings section works fine though. Only in "groups" there is a problem.

What could be the cause of this?

It seems to be related to the phpbb3 bridge manager because when I deactivate it, everything works.

I updated to the latest version 1.0.9.4 and problem is solved.
