Hi CPG people,
At my US hoster my album goes offline after a while. I get a "Fatal error:"
That's all I see. No error code or so. Only repairing fixes it (see below)
My hoster keeps telling it's CPG problem, he even moved my album to another server.
This is very anoying, since this album gets allot of visitors from day to day.

What could cause this?
I have the latest version (on an other install on the same server, I get the same problem also)
Any suggestions?

Try checking the error log of your server and a link might help as well.

Wow, Thanks for the quick reply.

Hmm, error log won't help me much:

It seems like your sessions table is crashing, a search on the forum got me this:
Quote from: Nibbler on March 05, 2007, 09:06:39 PM
Database error messages are not shown to website visitors for security reasons. There are instructions on how to get the detailed message and how to repair a crashed table available on this site. The most common cause for the tables to become corrupted is the MySQL server shutting down or restarting unexpectedly.

My guess is you are having the same problem, you might want to ask your host about this.

godyn

I asked my hoster, but he has a different opinion.

QuoteYes but it is -not- restarting frequently, you can use a monitor
to see the server uptime. This is certainly not the case.

Any other idea's :-(
I'm getting desperate here.

SaWey

I can't give you any more advice, I hope someone else will be able to help you.

godyn

ok thanks anyway.
I'll guess I'll have to find an other hoster after all...

Nibbler

Consider bridging. That would avoid the use of the sessions table completely.

godyn

would you have a link to this?
I'm not sure what you mean...

You use a forum for user management, logins, sessions etc. Might not be what you want for your site, just a thought.
