I'm thinking about buying webspace on Aruba. The service offers me 100 mb of Mysql. I plan to install Coppermine and I'd want to know if the photos I'll upload and the Coppermine software need to be hosted on the same Mysql space or only Coppermine will be installed on the Mysql space and the photos hosted somewhere else?

The MySQL but is just the database. The photo's are not stored there, only the information about them. The photo's are stored in your webspace for which I believe the aruba service provides plenty.

What is more important ar some of the php settings.  Check this thread and then compare what is written here to what Aruba provide.

Unfortunately, you can only tell if a host is any good for your app by trying them or finding others who use the same software on the same service as there can be a lot of different things that can affect software you may wish to run. Hopefully, someone on here has experience of aruba.it

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

Thank you very much for answer!!!
Can you tell me about some good hosting?

Maybe ask on the Italian support board, I only know what works for me in the UK. Aruba may be fine but as I don't speak Italian and have never known anyone who has used them I cannot tell.

We can not give you hosting advice. As Phill suggested, this depends on your needs and where you come from. Not an issue that should be discussed on any of the sub-boards on this site. Any webhsoting package that fullfills the minimum requirements that are explained in the docs will do.
