I have installed coppermine and tried to batch add pictures. Although I have CHMOD 777 the "userpics" folders, I am still told by the system that it hasen't been done ??? I have other systems using CHMOD on these servers and everything works OK. Any suggestion?

re-read the docs: it says to chmod the "albums" directory (the userpics is with the albums dir). You mustn't ftp-upload to userpics! Also, you may have to CHMOD to 755 instead of 777 (docs again).
As a third option, you may have to check safe mode issues.

There may be nicer ways to tell you, I'm sorry this posting just looks like one big RTFM, but actually you really should (read the manual, that is)... ;)

Damm it, I hate to be told that but I guess I deserved it since I haven't posted enough info. I actualy read the docs and checked the safe mode issue beforehand. However, I have discovered one issue: my ftp client doesn't chmod correctly the folders and I had to use CPanel. It is now OK but I had then some wiered errors. Get borred, deleted everything and re-installed from scratch and guess what... I works perfectly!

Sorry for your time, thanks,
