i am getting an error, i have followed the instructions to the letter, when I go to admin on my board and then go to admin, and then enter url: upgrade-1.0-to-1.2.php, I get this below error...

While executing query "INSERT INTO cpg14x_pictures (approved, pid, aid, caption, filepath, filename, filesize, pwidth, pheight, hits, mtime, ctime) SELECT 'yes' as approved, p.pid, aid, msg_body AS caption, filepath, filename, filesize, pwidth, pheight, hits, mtime, UNIX_TIMESTAMP(ctime)FROM dalealbm_pictures AS p LEFT JOIN dalealbm_comments AS c ON p.caption = c.msg_id " on 0

mySQL error: Duplicate entry '1' for key 1

are you upgrading from cpg1.0 to cpg 1.2 ?
If not, use the update.php file
Avez vous lu la DOC ? la FAQ ? et cherché sur le forum avant de poster ?
Did you read the DOC ? the FAQ ? and search the board before posting ?

The table prefix indicates that he/she's already running cpg1.4.x, that's why running the file upgrade-1.0-to-1.2.php is silly. Run the file update.php instead, which is meant for updates/upgrades from cpg1.3.x or better (and yes: the words "or better" apply to cpg1.4.x as well) to the most recent stable release of cpg1.4.x, as per upgrading instructions in the docs. Seems like you haven't followed the instructions to the letter, at least not the instructions that apply when composing a posting on this board: you're bound to board rules and posting rules. Both of them say that you should post a link to your gallery. If you would have done so, we could have told for sure. There are reasons why we have the board rules saying that you need to post a link to your gallery: we need to see it to be able to actually provide support.

not sure if 1.1 or 1.4.10, below was in the index.php, so do i use the update.php then?

Coppermine version is cpg1.4.10 for sure. Definitely not version1.1! As I suspected, you never should have been running the file upgrade-1.0-to-1.2.php, as it doesn't apply.
However, why haven't you done as I suggested? I have told you that you're suppossed to post a link to your gallery. Why did you post a snippet of code instead? Do you like playing games?

Joachim

P.S. Hint: to find out what version you have, you don't have to look at the code. Just go to your gallery in your browser, log in as admin and visit the config screen. The version shows at the top in big, bold letters.

i didn't see your question asking for a link to it...
I AM NOT PLAYING GAMES!!!

I have figured it out, backed up database, uploaded the config, anycontent.php, and album folder inplace, ran the update file, seemed to have worked.
thanks for the help... even though your last post was really rude!!!

i guess you should learn how to type in English be replying!  Can someone translate?

Stop shouting. Read up board rules, that should be enough. Locking this thread and marking it accordingly, as the thread starter failed to do as suggested per board rules - he failed to resolve his thread. What a nice person.
