Dear admin,
i didnt understand your reply to last post.  >:(

can you please tell me how to enable that feature?

thanks
lisa

Hi,

Please respect the board rules! A messages like this does not belong in the feature request board.

What Joachim meant is what you can find in the documentation:
http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#admin_user_mode

Look for the first point in that section: Upload approval

This way, people will be able to upload pictures without them appearing in the album. You as an admin will have to approve each image before they will be shown.

Read up board rules: the subject line you chose for this thread is inappropriate. You failed to post the reference link. Respect board rules in the future! We're not fond of having to remind you constantly of board rules and you constantly ignoring them. Failing to respect them will get you banned!

You sent me a PM as well with this content:

Dear admin,
i didnt understand what u replied.
Can you please tell me how to do it?

lisa
You're not allowed to PM me or any other staff member without consent (again: board rules!). Stop it, will you?

this wont solve the issue..
the person cant view his photo after uploading in this case...
requirement was " he shudnt be able to see others pictures but he can see his picture only"

In the other thread, this was your original request:

In my class i am planning to organize a photography competition. :)

for this i will create an album. my classmates can upload pictures into that. but they should not be able to see other pictures. after the final date of competition  i can open the the album to view for all.  ::) then only they can see others entries for the competition. :)

Is this feature is possible ? ???

thank you
lisa
The answer to your question "is this possible" is "no, unless you code it". The permission system of Coppermine will give you read access to everything that you have write access to. You require this core behaviour to be changed, which is not possible without in-deep code changes.
Can you accept "no" for an answer? If not, hire a coder to hack the needed feature in.

thatsy i posted this thread on feature request  ;D
please consider this feature in future development...
i think i have seen this type of feature in eyefetch.com

We won't - that's certainly not a feature that many will find usefull.

I'm not anybody's coding slave. A lame attempt... Enough trolling.
