We have been using Coppermine for sometime. There has been a problem for sometime with the picture of  our site. I have just taken over and am trying to fix it.

When you click on a thumb nail it opens the picture as a red x... when you click on the red x it opens the picture up in a different browser and the picture is fine. This is happening to 70 percent of the photos.
I have tried a test to see what new picture will do and they are doing the same thing.

I have spent hours looking at the options in coppermine, and on the board with no luck.

Please give me the easiest way(beginners steps) to do this I am not to good at coding, if thats the only way I will try....

I have attached a pic so you can see what I mean.

The file that is suppossed to be embedded on http://yowiehunters.com.au/multimediacentre/displayimage.php?album=14&pos=4 is http://yowiehunters.com.au/multimediacentre/albums/batch/14/normal_trev-trip-wire.gif - it's simply not there. You deleted it or it was never created. Use admin tools to create it now.

And upgrade as well, you're using cpg1.4.19, while the most recent stable release currently is cpg1.4.22

Thank  you for you help I find it very strange...I am still not understand.

Here is two links from the same batch one is embedded. The other comes up with a  red cross that when you click it pops the picture up in a new browser

Even when I upload new files it does the same thing.... so I am missing a file that should be sitting in cpanel??

This one displays fine...
http://yowiehunters.com.au/multimediacentre/displayimage.php?album=14&pos=0

This one does not...
http://yowiehunters.com.au/multimediacentre/displayimage.php?album=14&pos=1

click on the x on the second link and the full image displays in another browser

Please give me as much detail as possible on how to fix this if you can. Still learning......

Thank

I have manged to fix some of the problem.
You were right the normal_ file was not there so I have had to add every picture that is not working back into cpanel and then change the name to the normal_. This seems to have worked.

My new uploads are still a problem, the normal_ picture again.

It seems to be seeing them as a HTML file and codes the file 0666. It will still display as a thumb and full picture just the normal_ are affect.
again to fix this I have to resize the photo load it into userpic folder and then change the name.
This is taken so long and need to put hundreds of photos. so please help....

here is a link to one I upload not long ago....
