[Solved]: Making categories is very slow

cpg version is 1.4.22
Apache/2.2.9 (Debian)
MySql 5.0.51a-24+lenny1
P4 2.6 Ghz, 512 Mb dedicated computer

i am trying to convert my big photo collection(14000 pics) to cpg.
All photos have loaded by ftp
Now i have done 3500 photos, 400 albums and 350 categories.
Everything is ok, but making new category is very slow. Now it takes about 4 minutes to create one category.
Converting photo is perfect fast and other things work fine. At beginning making categories was perfect fast.

What can i do?

P.S. Sorry for my english.
P.P.S. Galerry is comercial private. So i can not show it for diagnostic.

The category control panel is getting slow for a larger number of categories - that's what you're experiencing. There's an improved category manager (catmgr.php) around created by Nibbler - please search the forum for it and use that instead of the existing one.
