Hi,

I installed the gallery, according to documentation.

Everything is OK

But when I upload a picture, the first step is ok and in the second wrote:

The previous file could not be placed.

You have successfully placed all the files.

Likewise, when I use the batch add utility, I get:

The image you have uploaded is corrupted or can't be handled by the GD library

I do not know why ...

Any help would be great. Thank-you to anyone that can help (I am new at this)

Read the upload troubleshooting section of the docs more carefully.

I have read the upload section. In fact, I uploaded a file just last week with no problem. I have reread the upload section and with no avail, I still can't figure out what is wrong. That's why I have tried to contact you.

your gallery is outdated (running cpg1.4.20 as the latest stable version is cpg1.4.25) so please update first and see if it help for solving your issue
Avez vous lu la DOC ? la FAQ ? et cherché sur le forum avant de poster ?
Did you read the DOC ? the FAQ ? and search the board before posting ?

Hint: we can tell that you haven't read the upload troubleshooting section carefully because you haven't set the number of file and uri upload fields as suggested. Again: read the section of the docs that we already had to refer to so often. Insisting that you have read it shows that you're not ready to cooperate. There's a reason why three supporters tell you the very same thing.

Hint: If you don't know the answer, just say you don't know the answer. By you insisting that I go to a previous thread to get help, means to me that you just don't know what to do.

Anyway thanks for trying!

By you insisting that I go to a previous thread......

What would you prefer? Someone to retype the answer "special" just for you?

What do you prefer? Not upgrading your Coppermine so it can be easily hacked?

Just because this is all new to you doesn't mean that your problem is new - do as instructed - you will get help - spend time reading the manual - learn something new!

FYI, You are a webmaster - like it or not - the job has a bit of responsibility -

I am not looking for special help. I understand that I should install the update (Very nervous about doing that, since I really don't know what I am doing). Anyway, I just can't see how that would help considering that I have uploaded multiple albums in the past with no problems.

Regardless... whatever!

Looks like there's something wrong with the GD2 installation on your server. I switched to ImageMagick instead which is working. You should delete the test (admin!) account.

That did it. Thank you for your help!
