 Because i couldn't find any topic for spam or comments, i decide to make a post here.
In the last two weeks my site gallery has been bombard from 10-12 ip class, with some random spam comments to the photos. I keep banned them but because they are dynamic i can'tstop them. Is that anything what i can do to stop this spam or is any way to stick an ban for one class (EX: 12.123.234.*) not individually ?

  Thank you !

You need to upgrade before doing anything else.

<!--Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.4.20 (stable)-->

The version you are running is out of date and vulnerable.

1) Upgrade

2) Get a plugin to stop the spam bots

Which version do i need to upgrade and where can i find any tutorial ?

Sounds pretty hard to believe ::). When I perform a search for "comment spam" I get loads of results, and all lead to the same answers:

  • Disallow anonymous comments if possible
  • Use one of the captcha plugins
  • Use the akismet mod
And please don't ask where you can find the captcha plugins or the akismet mod: use the search or review the search result threads that I refered to above.

Same story for upgrading: how to upgrade is being covered in the documentation that comes with coppermine. You could have searched for that if you had not read the docs, but then: you have been told about board rules when you signed up. One of the board rules says that you must have read the docs before being allowed to post in the first place. This is a support board: we provide support for questions that are not being covered in the docs already. We don't want to repeat things over and over again, so we require you to search thoroughly.
