I'm not sure if it's supposed to do this but...

the random/ last uploaded pic display only shows pictures from 2 levels ahead.

For example, I have this "Home > Mario Gaelleriies > Guest Gaelleriie > Latisha Banks>her album is located here"  The most important category level for me is Mario Gaelleries. This is the location from which I will grab data for the RSS feed. However, the random/lastupdated pic display located at the "mario gaelleries" category level does not show pics from the album located past the "latisha banks" category level, nor will it show pics from any of the guest artists.
When I put the albums at the "guest gaellerie" category level, then they show up. I was just wondering if this 2 category level restriction is normal and expected. If it is, I wonder if there is a way around it, or if this is a setting that can take care of this. I have looked through the manual, the forum, and on my own and could not find anything.
By the way, I notice that this restriction does not exist at the top cateogory level (Home). There, pics show up no matter how deeply the album is placed within levels.

edit: My problem is the same as this women's problem, I think: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=3283.0
This doesn't bode well for me, however. She was never answered.  :-[

have you tried to increase the number in your settings which says, how many category-levels shall be shown?
Perhaps that is responsible for your problem, but I don't know for sure.

I did play with that. I set it so that only the current level can be shown. I just tested it and that's not what's causing the problem. I dunno, I cause it's not that big of a deal, it's just a pain in the butt restriction that might be an even bigger pain down the road as we get more kinds of artwork and more users. Maybe the developers can keep it in mind for the next version.
