Having trouble resetting Theme To Classic

When I try to reset the theme to classic. I get the message "Coppermine configuration was updated" However the next time I visit the theme config area it still appears to be set to the rainy day theme. I have tried about 10 times to set the theme to classic but it keeps going back to rainy day.
