hey!
first of all the link refering to my gallery: http://rempersschar.cwsurf.de/coppermine2/index.php

i wonder how to get the input form stay fix above the postet comments and not below the postet comments.
i don't want to have to scroll down all the way to the bottom of the page to post a comment.

i found a threat dealing with this problem, but sadly it is for cpg version 1.4.x.
i compared the codes of cpg 1.4.x and 1.5.4 and unfortunately i had to realise that the codes differ from another.

i hope someone can tell me how to do this.

You have removed the Credits - "Powered by Coppermine" - read your docs about support for galleries without the credits link visible.

Additionally, the pop-up advertisements make your pages difficult to navigate.

The section of the docs that explains how to modify the footer contains a warning in big bold letters as well as the file itself where you perform the modifications that you mustn't lightheartedly change the footer or remove it, so I don't believe you. I consider your excuse to be lame and will therefore not support you further.

Keep on misbehaving and you'll earn yourself a ban in no time. Merging your new thread with the existing one.

jester-head

ok, what else than saying "sry" can i do?

is there any chance to get some advice concerning my problem(s)?

General suggestion (no answer to your question): we have a config option Sort order of comments. I think we should place the new comment form accordingly (latest comment on top -> form above the comments; latest comment at the bottom -> form below the comments).

jester-head

i know about the config option.
you "want" to have it this way:

PICTURE
latest comment
input form
comments postet before

right?

i would like to have it like this:

PICTURE
input form
comments

you understand what i mean? is that possible? how?

No :P

I want it that way:

Sort comments ascending

comments
input form

Sort comments descending

input form
comments

My message was more a note to myself instead of giving you a solution ;) I'd like to hear some opinions of the devs.

Agreed

jester-head

ok that would be fine ...

is there a chance that you tell me how to do so?

If someone (probably me ;D) has committed the solution to the svn, you can checkout the changes. You'll find the changes in one of the next versions of cpg1.5.x (probably 1.5.8).

jester-head

ok, but can you please tell what exactly you mean with "r7668" ?

Αndré

jester-head

hmmm, now i'm very confused....

the first thing i wonder about is the file size. the old files had a size of about 200 Kb. the new ones have a size of almost 1 MB.
but ok...
i downloaded the files and placed them accordingly to the folder structure....
but now the "shock":
when i try to visit the gallery (http://rempersschar.cwsurf.de/coppermine2/) not my gallery opens but a "surceforge site" showing the content of the new files, i think...
what has happened, respectively what has gone wrong?

Αndré

Obviously, you have done something wrong. If you don't know how to apply changes, wait for the next release.

Joachim Müller

Read the documentation before asking questions and lightheartedly applying stuff you don't understand.
