I have been trying to get this bridge to work.  Any help would be appreciated.

I am sent to the phpbb3 login, after login use link to go back (not sent back) but not logged on in CPG.

I have tried this in IE8 and Firefox.

Strange that in bridge manager it says in help  "Make sure to add a trailing slash - the URL must be http://www.yourdomain.tld/forum/ and not just http://www.yourdomain.tld/forum"

And if I have the ending slash I get this:

"You need to correct these errors before you can continue. Go to the previous screen.

    * There mustn't be a trailing slash in the field URL of the bridge app."

So, I try to skip it, it continues but bridge not working.

Coppermine install: http://s335760891.onlinehome.us/cpg
Bridging app install: http://s335760891.onlinehome.us
Coppermine version: cpg1.5.6
Bridging app version: Phpbb3 in CPG 1.5.6
Test user account: testing / testing

BridgeManager settings:
Bridge app URL:  http://s335760891.onlinehome.us       note:  http://s335760891.onlinehome.us/ does not work in bridgemanager
Relative path to your bridge app's config file:  ../
Cookie name or prefix:  phpbb3_p32g5
Use post-based groups?:  1    also tried 0

I hope this is something silly that I am overseeing.

Perhaps there are new relevant files in SVN that somone can point me to.

Best regards,  Jon

Well, this was my silly mistake.  ::)  Lack off knowledge and understanding.

I was using a temporary domain name (  http://s335760891.onlinehome.us) for my phpbb3 installation while waiting for a transfer of my actual one http://www.siglingar.net I used in phpbb3 install

This definately has caused conflicts in cookie handling in my opinion.

Now I use my correct domain name and everything is working fine after syncronizing groups and administering permissions for groups in CPG.

But this controversy is there anyway.  I just skipped the trailing / and it works that way.

QuoteStrange that in bridge manager it says in help (?)  "Make sure to add a trailing slash - the URL must be http://www.yourdomain.tld/forum/ and not just http://www.yourdomain.tld/forum"

And if I have the ending slash I get this:

"You need to correct these errors before you can continue. Go to the previous screen.

   * There mustn't be a trailing slash in the field URL of the bridge app."

Best regards,  Jon

P.S.  I would like to find a solution to the redirect issue if you sign in fro CPG

Thanks for taking the time to resolve your thread, it really does help others.

As for re-directing. I believe there is something regarding that on both the PHPbb website and also over on jfusion.org in the phpbb forums. Unfortunately, I don't have time to go searching for them.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.
