Advanced/Mutiple file upload method error

I get an error when I try to upload multiple files using the Flash-based method. The file upload completes and it shows me all the thumbs but when I click on the "Continue" button, I get logged out and I am shown the error page (screenshot attached). The simple file upload method works and does not log me out. If I upload only one file with the flash method, even that works. The error only shows up for two or more files. I did read the topics in this forum and the one solution I found mentioned changing the htaccess file but my gallery is accessible from both http://ranbirkapoor.net/gallery/index.php and http://www.ranbirkapoor.net/gallery/index.php So that is not an issue I suppose. Then I followed the step-by-step guide posted here: http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/upload_troubleshooting.htm#upload_support

Non-admin test user:
tester
password: tester

Album created under the Family created : test album

Changed the default method to simple and that works too.

So any ideas what the issue could be?
