Can not upload to Copeprmine after upgrade to V1.5.8

I have batch uploaded files to the web-server but I get the following error with batch or single file adding to a album.

Critical error
Unable to create thumbnail or reduced size image.

File: /home/geo969/public_html/Coppermine/db_input.php - Line: 664

I have been doing this with no problem prior to upgrading to V 1.5.8. I checked and I do have GD V2.X running and enabled. I also notice that there is a "padlock" and a file symbol as each file tries to upload to the album. I have permissions set to 755 for album etc.. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

THANKS -----  I found the problem. I am using GD and somehow ImageMagick had gotten checked.
