GD image library

Hi guys
We have run into abit of a problem

We are running tinysofa server software

I've got the same os as my brother with Coppermine running well on tinysofa.

but for the life of us we cant get it going on his
error we keep getting is

PHP running on your server does not support the GD image library, check with your webhost if ImageMagick is installed

GD seems to be installed, ImageMagick well thats another story, i have not been able to get it going, going on two weeks now trying to install ImageMagick.

Any one give us some ideas why it wouldn't be working.

I don't know the webserver "tinysofa" at all. What does phpinfo say about GD?
