I've only had a couple of people complain about this while it "works fine" for everyone else..

Apparently it takes three or so minutes to load images for this guy, and after browsing the gallery
he goes to the forums (integrated with IPB) and the borders/avatar images don't show up for him.

Is there maybe a setting he doesn't have set on in his browser?  I assume it's on his side because
it works fine for me and 99% of the others.
Just wondering..

Well, chances are you'll get it functioning fine as 99% of my users are having no problems with it.

But..

you are right, worked perfectly OK for me as well (and nice site btw). Did you ask the users who complained what browser/os they were using? You seem to run some AvtiveX Control that might cause problems for some...

Thanks, :)

I just asked him about the browser/os, so I'll probably get back with that once I find out.
But it might be the active x?  I don't know how I'd go about disabling that.    :-\\

But thanks again.

If he is running IE, have him run Windows Update. For one IE version, Photoshop images keep IE from displaying anymore images, while in another the active X control gets 'stuck' in the temp folder and causes image problems elsewhere.  This is usually solved by clearing the cache.
"Then, Fletch," that bright creature said to him, and the voice was very kind, "let's begin with level flight . . . ."

I noticed while using other browsers things do work differently in Coppermine, but nothing really slower than others.... there are many factors that could contribute to his lag time.... PC, OS, Browser, User Error..... ;D

Nice site though!!!!

Nice site though!!!!
If that was directed to me, thanks. :)

Okay, he ran windows update and it has apparently fixed nothing.  But he's still the only member who has complained about it.
Kinda sucks though cause he's been dying to see all these new images.  :-\\

I still just assume it's something out of date on his pc though.
Hm.

maybe there are silly filter settings on this particular user's machine. If you really want to go through individual support, check his virus scanner settings, his personal firewall, proxy settings, add blockers and maybe the list of processes in task manager.
