Category Icon Problem

I've done some digging, and cannot find the answer to my question in the forum or docs.

My gallery is at http://www.builderbobs.com/gallery/floortoceiling/index.php

For some reason, when I edit the category "Furniture" or "Western Ranch", I cannot add a photo to the category as within my other categories.  There is not a drop-down box as within the other categories.  Is there some setting I have messed up that would prevent me from adding pictures to them?

You might notice that it is not counting the albums and files in the category on the right side there on the main page...wonder why.

You can only use a picture from albums that are directly in the category.
