Problems in re-adding pictures to cpg

I've cleaned out pictures from the database, now I'm trying to readd them via batch adding.
I've removed the pictures from the db, and the album, and I've readded them.
Then I go and create a new album (with the same name).
Then batch import, choose the folder, select all images (except thumbs.db), then press add to album.
It then just sits there, nothing is shown, after quite a while it shows 'Album is empty'.
