i have problems with my hosting, that's why i want to save all my pictures to harddrive, is there anyway i can download albums ?

yes, but the problem is I have More than 15 000 pix and they are sorted in folders, if ill use ftp, i will need to sort them manually and it would take a really long time

Maybe you asked the wrong question. If you want to save your 'pictures' (= all files of your gallery), you just have to download the whole albums/ directory. If you want to backup your whole Coppermine gallery, you have to download the database, too.
