Hi guys, I have a problem that I hope you can help me with. I have been using Coppermine on two sites for years, with thousands of photos, and for the first time I am experiencing a problem on http://nofrigginidea.com/. On both http uploads, and batch uploads the problem persists, but "some" jpegs do load properly via batch, but none via http. All photos are edited the same, via CS3 as I have always done. I am not aware of any changes that would all of a sudden cause a problem. I have set up the site via your documentation, including a "test user account",  and here is an example of what I am seeing:

The image you have uploaded is corrupted or can't be handled by the GD library

   - Please do not post debug output unless it is requested

  - You are running Coppermine version 1.4.19 which is very much out of date.

  Upgrade to version 1.4.27 or even better to 1.5.10.

Older versions have had security issues that were fixed. There is a chance that you could have been compromised.

Hi, and thanks for the reply, and sorry for posting the debug output. I have now upgraded, and I have the identical problem as before? I have always been able to sort through any problems I have encountered with Coppermine until this, hence my lack of posts, but this one has befuddled me :'(

Okay, I obviously have some corrupted data. I made a new directory, created a new db, and installed the latest version of Coppermine. Everything works fine on that install.

Update: Okay, I have figured the upload problem out. Within my batch, I had a corrupted .jpg file. I have yet to figure out what the problem is with the file. It was part of a large batch of files that I uploaded via FTP. When trying to process the batch, when Coppermine hit the bad .jpg it died, and would not process any of the files I was trying to batch, sort of like tossing out the baby with the bathwater. Until you identify the corrupted file, and remove it, you can't process the batch. It should be noted that this also occurs with the latest version of Coppermine, but if you upload via Flash, it will still load all the other files, and identify the bad .jpg or .jpgs for you.

The only message was "error on page" in the bottom left hand corner, other than that, nothing happened, there was no response. Another interesting thing that I just discovered is that while the files were supposedly corrupt, when I changed from GD2 to Imageshack, the files uploaded with no problem?

If it works with Imagemagik and not GD2 then in all likelyhood you will need to have a word with your host. It may be that an upgrade on their server has caused GD problems.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

Thanks Phil, I will give them a call. For sure, nothing has changed on my end, so that leaves the server side.
