sort order in edit mode

when in thumbnail view, pic's sort according to default mode, which is ascending "name".   BUT, When I switch to edit mode, pic's sort in descending order, by "filename".  Can this be changed, so that in edit mode I sort in ascending order by filename?  Even when I change default to descending name, edit mode still sorts according to descending filename. 
Is this related to how files are uploaded?

We already discussed about the sort ordering when editing files. Please have a look at that thread. I'm not sure if we already have a 'solution' in this board, but it's already on my to-do list (at least for cpg1.6.x).
