I've read through the docs and some of the other similar posts but I'm none the wiser about this problem:

I carefully followed the upgrade instructions in the docs, but when I run upgrade.php nothing happens. I've got an empty classic page, and click on any link gives me "fatal error". I have very little tech knowledge so any 'idiots' guide would be a big help.

If you need support you have to provide a link which points to your gallery. http://www.dragoncastle.net/gallery/ just prints an error page.
